What is Xela Rederm?

A course of treatment using a combination of hyaluronic acid and succinic acid to increase collagen production, restoring a youthful bounce to the skin.

Hyaluronic acid works to prevent dehydration of the skin which is a major factor in skin ageing.

Succinic acid stimulates collagen and elastin, reduces pigmentation, detoxes the skin and energises skin cells.

Where is Xela Rederm used?

Rederm can be used on most areas of the body, most commonly the face, eyes, hands, décolletage, knees, elbows and stomach.

  • Dehydration
  • Stretch marks
  • Loss of elasticity

Rederm can be administered with a needle creating small papules, with a cannula or using a microneedling device.
Following a consultation we can decide the best application for you.

Immediately after procedure small lentil size papules of Xela Rederm will be visible for up to 3 days however most subside within a few hours.

How many treatments will I need?

A course of 6 treatments is recommended however we will asses your skin after 3 and decide how many more treatment you require

Rederm Aftercare

For the first 24 hours following treatment, you should avoid:

  • Strenuous exercise
  • Excessive sun or heat
  • Consumption of alcohol
  • Sunbeds, steam rooms and saunas

This will minimise the risk of temporary redness, swelling or itching.

“What are the side effects?

Most side effects are mild to moderate in nature and usually last less then 7 days.

  • Temporary Papules, visible for 2-3 days.
  • Bruising
  • Pain/Tenderness
  • Itching
  • Discoloration

As with all skin injection procedures, there is risk of infection.
